Automated Trusted Information Exchange (ATIX)

RISS ATIX™ participants include executives and officials from governmental and nongovernmental entities. Participants are designated into a specific group based on their role regarding the prevention, response, mitigation, and recovery efforts of terrorism and disasters. Each group is referred to as an ATIX community. ATIX communities include local, county, state, tribal, and federal government; law enforcement; emergency management; disaster relief; utilities; and, among others, the chemical, transportation, and telecommunication industries.

RISS ATIX Components

RISS ATIX combines four powerful components for participants to utilize in exchanging information:

RISS ATIX Web Pages - General and community-specific news articles, links, and contact information are located on the Web pages.

RISS ATIX Bulletin Board - Participants can post and discuss information relating to terrorism, disasters, and homeland security. Participants can also "page" other online participants and send secure e-mail from the bulletin board application.

ATIXLive - An online, real-time, interactive collaboration application designed to encourage ATIX participants to ask and respond to other participants' questions regarding topics of concern and interest and to engage in online interactive chat sessions regarding any topic of interest. Participants can also "page" other online participants and send secure e-mail from the ATIXLive application.

ATIX Secure E-Mail - RISS offers secure e-mail that can be used for notification of terrorism alerts and homeland security information. Additionally, participants can exchange secure encrypted e-mails with other individuals connected to RISSNET™ using their RISS ATIX e-mail addresses.
